Infants, up to one year, are provided activities that are appropriate for their development. The curriculum for this age is children’s literature based. Activities are developed in coordination with a preselected book appropriate for infants. Each day a pre-planned activity is introduced to your child.
All classrooms beyond our infants will engage in the Read It Once Again curriculum. Read It Once Again addresses the needs of young children at each stage of development. It is broken down into 2 levels. Level 1 is focused on the super 20 foundational speech and language skills for early learning success. Level 2, after mastering level 1 skills, focuses on the 20 foundational skills necessary for kindergarten readiness (the super 20, level 2 soaring into kindergarten). At this higher level, each unit is structured into the domains of phonemic awareness, math, science, creative writing and social studies. When children have mastered both level 1 and level 2 foundational skills, they will have all the readiness skills necessary to be fully prepared for kindergarten.
